We are still on track toward the Silos 3 beacon, at least that’s the assumption. As the relationship between the two ship Ai’s, AKA Bonnie and Clyde is becoming progressively more fractious. The neural roboticist of coarse insist on duality to ensure that all calculations are double checked and authenticated. But what the pencil pushers didn’t count on was that these Ai’s are programmed with real personality bios to enable full cognitive assessment of any given situation. Correspondingly all they do is bicker and argue. It’s like having delinquent teenage twins on the bridge. However, the upside is that it makes time pass a little quicker and takes the crews thoughts off the simple fact that we are out in here in the deep black with no coms from any of our sister ships. Although [officer eyes only] it’s almost certain that HMSS Hood and Exeter never made it across the dead space as they were not at the rendezvous point. However, that doesn’t account for HMSS Penrose as she went ahead of us chasing a ghost and has since gone dark.

For the record, all evidence points toward to what we refer to as Ghosts. Who we believe are responsible for the atrocities on the rim colonies. As they were detected just before the attack, but then just like ghosts disappeared off every sensor we have. The science geeks believe that they may be using some sort of trans dimensional slip stream that allows them to phase in an out of our reality. But then the geeks always have some smart-ass theory to cover up the fact that they don’t really know jack shit. So here we are alone, about to leap into uncharted space. And after the last beacon there be monsters, as we drop off the edge of the known Galaxy.

Personal note

I am not sure if it’s the old sailor in me, but I have the very strong feeling we are being tracked. Call it intuition but 3 ships down, has got me somewhat on edge. It is also hitting crew moral hard as our ability to get messages to the home worlds fell off the table when Penrose took off as she had a spare quantum transmitter. Which we could really do with seeing as ours got fried on the journey across the dead space.
